FAQ

How accurate are the emission calculations on the WEACT website?

Basically, a 100% accuracy can never be achieved in emission calculations. However, by using emission factors from independent, recognized databases, it can be ensured that the calculations are as accurate as possible. Unfortunately these databases do not contain factors for all emission sources. Assumptions must therefore be made and emission factors derived for these emission sources. Although there may be inaccuracies, ClimatePartner's many years of experience in calculating CO2 balances ensures the best possible accuracy. Further uncertainties result from the two different variants in the calculation. While the calculation with own data provides very accurate results (depending on the quality of the data entered), an estimate uses average values which may differ from the actual data.
